Light truck and SUV tire inflation.
This is an issue that I deal with daily,
seems pretty simple, but its not.

What we see a lot of is the customer
with the nice vehicle, just used up a
set of tires and decides to put on
some 8 or 10 ply’s. Not a problem in
it self but the tire says you can run
50, 65, 80 psi.  Let me tell you, A
1//2 ton Chevy suburban, with 10
ply tires and 80psi., is not pleasant
to drive!

After running into this a few times,
we contacted our rep at cooper tire
and rubber, His answer; no matter
what the ply rating, use the inflation
recommendation listed on the vehicle.

On newer units this information
should be on the door post.
