What's wrong with this picture?
Low compression!

These are a few of the things that I have run
across in the past.

The first picture is a VW cylinder head with every
intake valve bent. I think that is the first time I have
see that.

The second picture, Is part of the cause of the
bent valves. Again this is a first for me.

The third picture is two plugs from, I think it was
a Neon, This is quite common. When you change
spark plugs, you want to keep an eye out for this.
That black streak is carbon, that is the path the
spark has been taking for some time. What you
don’t see is the matching track down the insulating
boot of the spark plug wire. If you don’t replace
the wire the same thing  will happen to the new
spark plugs in a very short time.

My latest finds, The infamous Blown Head Gasket,

Next, this takes a little more study. This could be
a how many things do you find wrong test.
The most obvious problem, the water seals
on each end, are not the problem that we were
after. This is a mid 90s 5.7 GM intake gaskets,
held together with two bolts on each corner and
no support in the center. Notice the sag,
especially the top one.
This gasket does not have to move far to create
an internal vacuum leak, as this one did.
